USCIS Changes Validity Period for Any Form I-693 Signed On or After Nov. 1, 2023

On June 11, 2025, USCIS announced that effective immediately, a Form I-693, Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record that was signed by a civil surgeon on or after November 1, 2023, is only valid while the I-485 application that the Form I-693 was filed with remains pending.

Previously, USCIS had implemented a policy that made any Form I-693 signed by a civil surgeon on or after November 1, 2023, valid indefinitely. This announcement rescinds this prior policy and applies to all I-485 applications currently pending or filed on or after June 11, 2025.

If the I-485 application that was filed with a Form I-693 is withdrawn or denied, a new Form I-693 must be completed and submitted with a new I-485 application.

If you have any questions regarding the I-693 medical examination requirement or any other immigration-related matter, please do not hesitate to contact KILO Immigration by filling out this contact form.
